Cat Playground for Yamaha in 2024
Cats like to get into tight spaces, crevices and holes; sometimes they end up squeezing into surprisingly tiny spaces. This seemingly reckless behavior produces humorous scenes, but it also seems as though they enjoy challenging their own physical limits. If that's the case, Yamaha will put on a platform for cats to challenge themselves to their hearts’ content.
The transparent stage, named Neko-Yamah, consists of various holes, tunnels, dents and bulges. They invite cats to enter small holes and irregular crevices in various positions. This is a proposal for a cat playground in the Yamaha style.

This pipe-like organ makes sound by pushing air through orderly arranged tubes. Air is pumped out by the bellows on the base, and sound is produced using the air vibration produced by the tubes. You can learn how the pitch changes depending on the length of the tubes and enjoy the overlap of notes played by pumping air into multiple tubes simultaneously. Through playing, you can understand the sound making principles of a pipe similar to a recorder and chord mechanics.

Proposed a new desktop fan "ROVEY" for BRAUN competition, won Bronze Prize Award. Generally, a fan needs electricity to go round, but ROVEY doesn’t. It spins by itself using own energy. ROVEY’s structure is hinted by a traditional Japanese balance toy “YAJIROVEY”, which liberates by balancing with the fulcrum and the center. Because of this, ROVEY can spin by using a little energy generated from the wind of fan itself. ROVEY is excellent in saving energy, and is in harmony with environment.

A tool that warms the body by converting the flame of a single burner into far-infrared heat. The metal plate emitting the heat glows red, providing a comforting visual effect. A bimetallic sheet made of two pieces of metal glued together takes advantage of the varying expansion rates of the different metals, allowing the sheet to change shape with the heat. The small ball-shaped bimetal at the end rotates and opens like a flower, eventually transforming into a large flame shape.

This is a new form of single burner with a motif of the way firewood is laid in the bonfire. The five slender bars act as both stand and trivet to hold the cooker (a pot or pan, for example). Five bars can be folded to fit into a compact cylindrical shape, making it easy to carry. You can also adjust the amount of gas and change the heat strength by turning a control knob on the center ring. This tool allows you to enjoy the time waiting for the food to be ready, like watching a bonfire.
